{"id":14056,"date":"2022-05-26T14:18:02","date_gmt":"2022-05-26T11:18:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.adcgalani.gr\/?p=14056"},"modified":"2024-09-19T15:22:45","modified_gmt":"2024-09-19T12:22:45","slug":"postoperative-instructions-for-tooth-extractions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.adcgalani.gr\/en\/postoperative-instructions-for-tooth-extractions\/","title":{"rendered":"Postoperative Instructions for Tooth Extractions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>For simple tooth extractions:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Avoid smoking for 3 days, for better and faster healing of soft and hard tissues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid hot foods and liquids for 24 hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid eating at the site of extraction for at least 3 days<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid exercise and heavy work for at least 48 hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid brushing at the site of extraction for 3 days<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wash with saline 3 times a day for 3 days (a small glass of wine with a teaspoon).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minor bleeding is normal in the first hours after the extraction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You do not have to rinse your mouth constantly because it does not allow the wound to heal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In case of severe bleeding after 48 hours contact us for instructions, or come to our dental office for a checkup.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be careful not to bite your lips as long as the anesthesia lasts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At night try to sleep later than usual, and sleep with your head slightly raised.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pain and discomfort are likely to exist. And it&#8217;s perfectly normal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may have a fever.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Edema is likely to occur. It usually gets completely gone after 14 days.
